Church of Scientology Nets Famous Joburg Landmark--Kyalami Castle

WOW - This is Kyalami Castle and this 64,000 sq ft property was recently purchased by the C of S in Africa. I just saw a news story on it so I figured I should put it here...

The Church of Scientology has acquired the famous Johannesburg landmark, the Kyalami Castle, to be the home of its new advanced spiritual retreat. This marks a significant step for Scientologists who until now had to travel all the way to the U.S, Australia or England for their higher spiritual progress.
"For all African Scientologists, this is a dream finally come true," said Paul Sondergaard, national Director of the Public Affairs Office. "It means a lot to the future expansion of the Church in Africa."
The 64,000 square foot castle on 22 acres of land will be providing religious services to people from throughout the Continent. It is the latest acquisition in a long series of 66 buildings the Church has purchased internationally over the past 5 years to accommodate the Church's expansion.
"But the Kyalami Castle is the best yet," says Sondergaard, "and a fitting tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Church in Southern Africa."
Other buildings have been purchased in South Africa over the past year including for the Church of Scientology of Cape Town, the seven-story St. Georges Center in the heart of Cape Town City, buildings in Morningside for the Church of Scientology of Durban, for the Church of Scientology of Pretoria, on Church Street, and a feature building in the recently renovated Goven Mbeki Avenue for the Port Elizabeth. In Johannesburg, the Church has become a prominent feature in the Kensington, Bedforview area, having taken over the old Kensington Golf Club house, which it subsequently expanded and fully renovated.
For those who have questions about the Church, a new video channel has been launched on its official website (www.Scientology.org). The Scientology Video Channel provides a comprehensive overview of the basic beliefs and practices of the religion while answering the question "What is Scientology?", and provides information on the many humanitarian programs sponsored by the Church—programs addressing drug abuse, illiteracy, human rights and disaster relief.

That is just awesome! One thing that you should know is that L. Ron Hubbard, founder of the Scientology religion, once wrote: "From Southern Africa will spring the next great civilization on this planet...."

And by the looks of it I would think that this is now in the works... SO... Are you ready for this next great civilization??? I am!

On the Radio!!!

Hello again!

Last night was fun as I went on a radio show with friends in Tampa and was able to speak my mind about prescription drugs. It was very good and I liked it as i think that we are making an impact to those people out there that do not have a clue about the dangers of these drugs.

One of the main things that we try to go over in the show is the fact that these drugs are legal and that they are being abused daily bythousands of people - including teens.

As I work at a facility that gets people off drugs - Whether legal or illegal, I see firsthand the horrors that come with these addictions and just how strong these drugs are. I suggest you go to www.prescriptionaddictionradio.com and listen to the shows as they are eye opening to the actual dangers of the drugs and what is really happening.

I will leave you with this fact that I think is amazing... I have known many HEROIN addicts that when they cannot get there fix will use a prescription drug called dilaudid or Oxycodone and shoot these and they can be okay - the "high" is not the same but they will not get the w/d symptoms... To me this is crazy as Heroin is a very illegal street drug but these other two are easily prescribed pain killers and that they can almost have the same effect is unbelievable to me... think about it... I think that there is more of a problem then your willing to look at...

Call me crazy but its the truth...

Flogging Molly!!!

Hello everyone!

Hope all is well out there, I just wanted to show you guys that I am not just a computer nerd and that I do get out and enjoy the world.

Recently I went to a Flogging Molly concert and it was amazing! They put on a great show... There was a lot of beer involved and I actually do not understand how that band can drink so much and yet still be able to put on such an invigorating show.

We left with smiles all around.

Other than that I have been sk8ing again which I am very glad that I am doing this as it is healthy and I feel very good when I do it. There is really not much to do where I live so I am in the need of going and finding a place in Tampa and sk8ing there.

Anyhoo it was a lot of fun at the concert and I will be doing more lively activities in the future.

I will keep you all posted...

Prescription Addiction Radio is here!

Hi Everyone!

I apologize for not being around recently and this will not happen anymore - don't worry I am not going anywhere :)

Well, the latest and greatest is that two of my good friends and I did a radio show in Tampa FL last night that was on the prescription drugs and the abuse of them that people and kids especially are getting into. It was very good and I enjoyed being part of it quite a bit. You can listen to it by clicking here and going onto the March 2nd show and listening to it. www.prescriptionaddictionradio.com/

It was very good to go on this show and was great to be able to speak my mind about these drugs and be free from inhibitions and just say what I know is true - That these Prescription drugs are actively destroying peoples lives and NOTHING is being done about it to show the people of the world today the truth.

I read something today from a study on Prozac and three other drugs in the same class and I want to share it with you.

"Prozac, the bestselling antidepressant taken by 40 million people worldwide, does not work and nor do similar drugs in the same class, according to a major review released today.

The study examined all available data on the drugs, including results from clinical trials that the manufacturers chose not to publish at the time. The trials compared the effect on patients taking the drugs with those given a placebo or sugar pill.

When all the data was pulled together, it appeared that patients had improved - but those on placebo improved just as much as those on the drugs.

Given these results, there seems little reason to prescribe antidepressant medication to any but the most severely depressed patients, unless alternative treatments have failed," says Kirsch. "This study raises serious issues that need to be addressed surrounding drug licensing and how drug trial data is reported"

The pattern they saw from the trial results of fluoxetine (Prozac), paroxetine (Seroxat), venlafaxine (Effexor) and nefazodone (Serzone) was consistent. "Using complete data sets (including unpublished data) and a substantially larger data set of this type than has been previously reported, we find the overall effect of new-generation antidepressant medication is below recommended criteria for clinical significance," they write.

WOW - Is this not amazing, I mean if you follow and monitor these company's closely then I guess that it is not that amazing as you would see the dirt on them all the time that somehow is pushed under the chair and never made public, BUT if you are not familiar with these company's then I am suggest you do start familiarizing yourself with these company's as they are NOT what they state and from what I can see are doing MUCH more harm then they are help.

I also saw something the other day that I was astounded by and it was the fact that Prozac is being made and marketed to ANIMALS - I read the "symptoms" that would make it a good idea to prescribe it to your animal and there were things like Drooling or panting, being active, barking, etc

No below I have listed some of the Side effects that might happen to your dog if he were to take this drug.

Side effects associated with fluoxetine (Prozac) include lethargy, panting, hyperactivity, shaking, restlessness, excessive vocalization, aggression and temporary lack of appetite. The animal may also seizure.

HELLO!!! They are the same symptoms that you are trying to "CURE" except that your beloved animal might have a seizure and die in the process... Outrageous!

Anyways these are my thoughts for today.
